Featuring Emilie Autumn’s signature electric violin pyrotechnics, heartbreakingly lush orchestrations, hardcore beats, and menacing lyrics growled with enough intensity to make your hair stand on end, the resulting noise is a harpsichord-heavy romp through Victorian asylums where screaming is allowed and girls always get revenge.

In addition to her recordings, she portrayed The Painted Doll in Darren Bousman’s 2011 film The Devil’s Carnival and has written a part biography / part historical fantasy 264 page full color novel entitled The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls. This specimen of literary genius compares what Ms. Autumn herself had to sustain in a modern day facility to what the women and girls of the 1800’s would have to sustain in asylums. Switching back and forth between the two worlds she captures the horror and torture that inmates/patients must endure on a daily basis. The novel is the basis for her newest musical release “Fight Like A Girl” with a full scale musical to follow.
