The time warp has flipped and landed The Rocky Horror Picture Show at its 35th anniversary. Marking three and a half decades as the premier cult classic, the “sweet transvestites from Transsexual, Transylvania” are celebrating by invading your homes. Comic-Con 2010 brought the announcement that Glee would be doing a RHPS episode (which is set to air on Oct 26th), and now it has been confirmed that Dr. Frank-N-Furter & Co. will also be taking over your games console with a Guitar Hero track pack.

The Glee RHPS episode will feature two original cast members, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf, and many of the show’s hit songs including: Sweet Transvestite, Time Warp, and Damnit Janet. The Guitar Hero track pack will include: Sweet Transvestite, Time Warp, and Hot Patootie.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show has had a long and colorful history, so it’s no surprise that Glee and Guitar Hero are making the most of Halloween by marketing their RHPS products at this time. The spirited season always brings a breath of fresh ‘virgins’ (people who have never seen a live show) out to late night screenings, and many venues hold special annual shows.

If you enjoy what you see on Glee, or play on Guitar Hero, and have never been to a live show, I recommend looking up the nearest theatre and popping your cherry.
