[GoGo Suicide in The Twelfth]

GoGo is a sexy Italian model that is also into video games. She’s also a movie buff and hardcore Game of Thrones fan, so it’s safe to say that GoGo actually loves all sorts of nerdy things.

Is there a story behind your SG nickname?

There sort of isn’t one. When I first applied for the site I had to pick a nickname and GoGo is what came to mind. It sounded short and cute and easy to remember!

How long have you been modeling?

Since I applied for SuicideGirls in 2004.

You have a ton of really cool tattoos. Is there any special symbolism behind them?

Not really, I mean, besides the name of my dog on my ankle and Rain Dogs across my knuckles over Tom Waits, the rest is just ideas of things that I like / inspire me. I usually just give a rough idea to the artist and let him or her do the rest.

What are some of your favorite video games?

The Silent Hill saga has a special place in my heart. Other than that, I love Diablo 3, LA Noire, and Call of Duty.

Do you play games online much?

I used to be really into Diablo 3 and would play for hours every day. But the servers are so horrible, always down, and always laggy, so eventually I just kinda gradually gave up on it. Call of Duty is a game I like to play sporadically, like when I am really frustrated so I can just shoot some motherfuckers.

Which class do you prefer in Diablo 3?

Wizard all the way! I’m definitely a disintegrate/archon combo wizard.

Ever try to make money on the auction house?

Not real money, only gold to buy more equipment with. I never got that far as wanting to spend hundreds of real dollars for it. Maybe I would have been tempted once or twice if the servers were more reliable, but alas…

What’s your console of choice?

PS3 and desktop 🙂

Do you think the Silent Hill franchise has gotten better or worse over time?

I think it had ups and downs. Some of them were great, some not so great, but overall it’s the universe of it that really gets to you, you know? 1 and 3 are my favorites.

How/when did you first get into playing video games?

Gosh I don’t know. When my parents gave me a Sega Master System for Christmas when I was little, I guess!

Judging by the fact you list “Winterfell” as your hometown, I take it you’re a Game of Thrones fan?

Huge! I wouldn’t know where to begin! Last year I did a tribute shoot that came out super cool. It was the “grown up version” of Arya Stark. You should check it out!

So where did you really grow up?

Italy, books, and the internet 🙂

Which is better, the books or the TV show?

This is a hard question! I LOVE the books and at the same time I LOVE the show. I would instinctively pick the book because there’s just more of everything, and you can spend months reading them and being absorbed in the whole imaginarium –– but they sure are doing a great job with the TV version, too. The TV show has the potential to be on air for a long time, whereas the books are being published too far apart and it’s such a long, painful wait!

Favorite character?

Tyrion and Arya. Bran seems to be heading in a very badass direction too, whereas Jon isn’t really as interesting as he once was. But given the huge cliffhanger of the last book, I expect greater things for him to come. *SPOILER ALERT* (I just don’t want him to really be dead). I have to say since Theon became Reek, he also started to really interest me.

Have you gotten a chance to try the GoT RPG that was released back in May?

I haven’t! I feel like between the books and the TV show I have enough GoT in my life if that makes sense!

I understand you’re also somewhat of a movie buff. If you could make any movie into a video game, what would it be?

I am, that’s another subject I could talk about forever! Let me think… Perhaps an Oldboy inspired game where you wake up in a room you don’t know why and you have to solve the mystery and riddles etc. Hmm that sounds like Silent Hill a bit doesn’t it? 🙂

Iron Man 3 has already grossed over a billion dollars. Pulling in roughly $285 million here in the states, it’s overseas that Iron Man 3 has been a real hit. International sales have passed $664 million dollars. Iron Man premiered a week early overseas, and it played in 79% of the foreign markets. In its first weekend internationally, it grossed over $198 million, beating the Avengers record. Domestically, Iron Man had the second biggest opening weekend ever bringing in $174 million, behind the Avengers ($204 million). But, despite the massive numbers, Iron Man 3 has been met with incredibly mixed reviews.

Marvel and Disney are raking in a fortune with these superhero movies, and now the heroes want a bigger piece of the pie. Iron Man actor, Robert Downey Jr. is currently renegotiating with Disney. He’s not the only actor wanting a larger pay day, many of the Avengers actors are seeking to renegotiate before signing on for Avengers 2. While the cast is seeking more money from the movies, director Joss Whedon has posted a blog on his site to correct some misinformation about his own payday for the Avengers.

I was going to let it slide, but I’ve got this sour taste in my mouth. (Mmmm, lemonade!). Some facts are not facts. I’m not going to go into the whole thing, but jeepers, I’m not getting $100 mil on Avengers 2. If I were, I would come on this site and laugh and laugh and laugh. I’m not making Downey money. I’m making A LOT, which is exciting. I’m not pretending to be a poor farmer, an Everyman, an ANYman. But that number is nuts. A few other things about me that have been “reported” that people should take with a grain of salt:

That I throw wild Hollywood parties where everyone is naked and dancing and wild and I remember to serve enough snacks.

That I can get a movie greenlit by sighing and staring into the middle distance.

That I ate a unicorn and made it winter for three years.

That I “can write.”

Well, that’s a load off. Sorry to get so personal — the whole thing’s a bit tawdry. But honestly, it bugged me. I’m off for a nice juicy steak. There’s a place downtown that does it with rosemary butter, it tastes just like unico — like a steak.

BYE-ee! J.

Avengers 2 might be having some negotiating trouble with old members, but Marvel’s plans moving forward also include a new lineup. Rumor is that Whedon is seeking to write the Scarlet Witch and her twin brother Quicksilver in to Avengers 2, and there are whispers that Marvel is looking to cast Saoirse Ronan in the role of Scarlet Witch. Whether Saoirse gets the part or not, the helps to give us an idea of the kind of actress they have in mind.

The new Marvel series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to go. The first teaser trailer has been released ending with a reminder #CoulsonLives. The series core cast has been filled out, and Clark Gregg is returning as Agent Coulson. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to premier in the coming fall season.

A new trailer for Thor: The Dark World has been released as Marvel moves forward with their ‘Phase 2’. Thor 2 premiers in November of this year. Captain America is the next movie up after Thor, and Captain America will be joined by some classic heroes for the journey. Anthony Mackie will be playing the Falcon and is set to be in more than half the movie. Robert Redford will also be filling a major role as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Alexander Pierce. The most exciting rumor of Marvel’s casting during ‘Phase 2’ however, is that the tenth Doctor Who, David Tennant may be cast as the gun blazing master tactician Rocket Raccoon.

As Doctor Who moves toward their 50th Anniversary, a new executive producer has been found for the show. Brian Minchin, who has worked in the past on the UK Torchwood, will be taking the role of executive producer, working alongside show frontrunner Steven Moffat.

Star Trek: Into Darkness is moving into theaters this week. The very suspenseful third and final trailer was released for the film. Finally, the great debate over which Spock would win between Nimoy and Quinto is over. It’s embedded inside a commercial trying to sell Audi’s, but it’s nevertheless well worth the watch.

Ender’s Game is moving into theaters on the first of November this year. The first full length trailer for the movie has been released and is appropriately narrated by Harrison Ford. The film was directed by Gavin Hood and stars Asa Butterfield as the title character, Ender.

Comedy Central has a new late night talk show starring the Nerdists’ Chris Hardwick. The show is being co-produced by Funny or Die and will be filling the air slot immediately after The Colbert Report.

[Annasthesia (pictured with Phecda) in Playtime]

This week’s SuicideGirls Gamer Of The Week is Annasthesia Suicide. I spoke to Annathesia about her favorite video games and asked for an insider tip on how guys can find a gamer girlfriend.

What made you choose the nickname “Annasthesia?”

I thought it would be clever to take a word that sounded like it could also have a name in it, and play on that. So “Anna” plus “Anesthesia” equaled “Annasthesia.”

How many tattoos and piercings do you have?

Well, I have the tops of my feet tattooed, the back of my neck, my chest, ribs, left forearm, and the makings of an eventual sleeve on my right arm. As far as piercings I’ve only had my lip, monroe, tongue, and belly button pierced. I temporarily donned a back corset piercing at my first Hell City. I think it was 20 piercings total.

Hell City?

Hell City Tattoo Convention. It’s one of the big events I look forward to each year now.

Which spot is the most painful to get tattooed?

So far my ribs have put every other spot to shame. The tops of the feet weren’t great and my chest has had its less than pleasant moments, but my ribs just sucked.

If you were to get one tattoo from a video game, such as a logo or symbol, what would it be?

I always have and still plan to get some Pokémon themed tattoo. I haven’t decided what yet, but it will happen. I like the idea of an 8-bit Togepi.

What are some of your other favorite games?

I’m the biggest Borderlands fan I know. I could play those into oblivion. Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are great guilty pleasures. I also love all Zelda games. I replay Ocarina of Time on my 3DS whenever I travel.

Who is your favorite character in Borderlands?

Now it’s Tiny Tina, without a doubt. I adore her, Mushy Snugglebites and Felicia Sexopants. Any girl who spends her spare time filling stuffed animals with high grade explosives is top notch in my book! Before her, it was probably be Claptrap or Scooter, and, though he only got briefly mentioned in the sequel, I have a spot in my heart for Butt Stallion as well.

What about favorite gun?

The one that’s going to do the most damage! I almost always go with a Maliwan. Elemental weapons are the way to go. Melt someone’s face off! And usually long range sniper rifles, unless I’m hunting zombies, then an automatic shotgun.

What is the best Pokémon video game in your opinion?

I think every Pokémon fan is a fan of the originals. So I’d have to say it’s a close tie between Red/Blue and Fire Red/Leaf Green, because seeing the original with all new graphics was just tits.

Where does Pokémon Snap fit into things?

I’m probably in the minority, but I love Pokémon Snap. I still have my copy for my N64 and a copy I downloaded onto my Wii. I still play both. I may have a Poké-problem, haha!

Say you were in charge of developing the very next Pokémon video game. What would you added or do differently?

Well, my biggest issues with the newer games is that they seem to have gotten really lazy with the Pokémon themselves, while focusing on how visually intriguing they can make the new environments. Seriously, Trubbish? The trash bag Pokémon? I want better Pokémon and eviler enemies.

Is it true that you can’t ignore Gary Oak’s girth?

Very true. It’s undeniable. And, let’s face it, Gary Oak is the silver-haired fox Anderson Cooper of the Pokémon world. Do you even want to deny his girth? The answer is no, no you do not.

What is the longest you have ever played a game in one sitting and which game was it?

Oh, wow! I’d probably have more impressive numbers here if I played MMORPGs, but I know I’ve spent at least 12 straight hours on both Borderlands and Pokémon respectively. I remember the first night I got Borderlands, I played for over eight hours straight before I even looked at the clock less than a foot from my Xbox. But, I think both of those would probably pale in comparison to the freakish hours I’ve put in playing various versions of The Sims over the years. That stuff is unholy addicting.

What is one game that you could beat anybody in?

Beat anyone at, as in competitively? I think I could still destroy anyone in the original Mario Party 64. Now that’s serious.

Many nerds dream about dating a girl that respects their gaming habits or is a gamer herself. What are some insider tips on how a guy can land a girl gamer such as yourself?

Don’t try too hard. We like a little bit of difficulty or we wouldn’t game, lol.

[Asio in Zelda]

Asio is this week’s Gamer Of The Week. She grew up playing a variety of video games as a kid and is still a retro gamer at heart. I spoke with her about some of her favorite games and also found out a few of her other geeky hobbies.

Tell me about your SuicideGirls nickname “Asio.” What does it mean?

Ha! I love that question. I never get asked what it means. I’m an owl fanatic. If you Google the word “Asio” you will find that there are two kinds of owls with Latin names that start with Asio: Asio flammeus and Asio Otis. My first tattoo was one of an owl. I love owls (and yes there is a very heartwarming story about my grandpa (RIP) who gave me that nickname but people usually don’t care about that).

How did you first get into nude modeling?

My dear friend MissKrone (she’s a member on SG, too) started to learn how to photograph and since we lived very close I somehow became her willing victim. We experimented a lot and started to do pinup shoots and the some latex photos and one day – oops! – I was naked. Things like that just happen, no?

Your profile says you’re from Germany. Ever met Fraise Suicide?

Of course, We live across the country but we have met twice and like all German SuicideGirls, we’re completely in love with each other. Can’t wait to see her again. Also, we have so much in common (OMG Jeffrey Campbell shoes!).

What are some of your favorite games?

That’s a tough one. I grew up being a computer gamer but I also had a hand held. I think I got my first Game Boy at the age of seven or eight and played Mario Land 2 until my mommy was really mad at me. I loved Monkey Island a lot, especially The Curse of Monkey Island. I’m also a huuuuuge Zelda fan, though I’m not so much into the Nintendo DS versions. Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask are my favorites and I’m dying to play Skyward Sword but I’m pretty retro so I don’t own any consoles younger than 10 years, haha. I still might have to get Wii some day.

I love Persona 3 and The Path, which is an independent horror game that is brilliantly made. I also like Zoo Tycoon because of the cute animals! Another of my favorites is Shadow of the Colossus because I prefer games with a good story and an awesome setting. And nothing beats a good round of good ol’ Pokémon or Mario Kart, the latter especially when drunk!

You said you played Mario Land 2 until your mom got mad at you. What happened?

I was a total bookworm as a child so my mom was very used to me staying up late with a pocket light under my blanked to read. When I got the Game Boy, I spent more time with “that stupid box” than with my books, which my mom didn’t really appreciate. I even tried to explain to her that Tetris was training my brain but she didn’t want to listen. So one day she caught me playing Mario Land around midnight and took the Game Boy away for two weeks. Sad me. At least I still had my books and a lot of friends who let me use their Game Boys in school, haha.

Being that you’re an owl lover, have you ever played Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole on DS?

Nah, I haven’t. I’m not so much into games that are made from movies except for Harry Potter because I’m just totally into everything Potter connected. But I might look for some reviews to decide if it’s worth buying!

What games are you currently playing?

To be honest, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 for PS2, haha. It was my favorite game back when I was a skateboard kid so playing one of those gets me nostalgic. Sadly I’m slacking lately, I don’t really have enough time to sit down and concentrate on a game. But I’m also playing Pokémon Pearl on DS. I play that while being in the bathtub and desperately try not to drown my DS, haha.

As someone who has never skate boarded in his life I’ve always wondered, how realistic are the Tony Hawk games?

Haha, they’re not realistic at all. THPS doesn’t know what gravity is. The game is three thousand gazillion times easier than skateboarding. On the other hand, it wouldn’t really be fun otherwise. It’s much safer too, obviously. I can’t even count how many scars I have been rewarded with during the three or four years I’ve been into it.

How many retro consoles do you own?

I own a Super Nintendo that was bought new in our family so I am the first owner! Then I have a Nintendo 64, which I bought two years ago, and a PlayStation 1 and 2. We also have a lot of handhelds; my old grey Game Boy that sadly died some years ago, two Game Boy Colors, and a Nintendo DS, which is not really that retro anymore. There’s my Dreamcast, which also died some years ago. Then my boyfriend has a C64 which needs some fixing and isn’t in use right now.

Do you have any other nerdy hobbies or interests outside of video games?

Ha, yup! I’m a total Potterhead, a walking Harry Potter wiki and I even collect film replicas. I have also been cosplaying for four years now. I love making costumes and going to conventions with my friends. Besides that, I write fan fiction and I used to draw when I had more time on my hands. I always love to try new stuff so currently I’m learning how to play the bass (but I suck).

What are some of the characters you have cosplayed?

My first cosplay was Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and I have cosplayed as Bulma from Dragon Ball, Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Aigis from Persona 3, just to name a couple. My favorite cosplay is the Skull Kid from Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. I put over 100 hours of work in that one.

What is your favorite convention to attend?

My favorite convention is the Connichi in Kassel. It’s the biggest German manga and anime convention and my friends and I go there each year (only this year I had to skip it). I’ll be going again next year, cosplaying as the Black Mage from Final Fantasy: Tactics along with a group of other mages, yay.

Any other plans for future cosplays?

Aside from the Black Mage, I plan on doing some of my own designs for the next convention in March, a Sagittarius for example. I am also planning to do a cosplay of Canute of Vinland Saga, which is a not so popular manga about Vikings but has a very great story and art. I highly recommend it. I do a lot of not so popular cosplays lately, haha.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters in 2015. It has been confirmed that the film will focus on the next generation of the Skywalker and Solo families. Mark Hamill has been in talks to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in the upcoming movies. Hamill mentioned that he has talked in depth with Lucas about this and has been told that if the original actors don’t reprise their roles, they won’t be recast, but instead they would be written out of the story. It doesn’t look like that will be the case though as Harrison Ford has been confirmed to be reprising the part of Han Solo in Episode VII.

In case three more episodes of Star Wars weren’t enough, Disney is planning on releasing Star Wars spin-off solo adventures. The spin-off stories will allow them to establish character backgrounds and lore that wouldn’t make it into the main movie. Everyone’s favorite mini Jedi Master, Yoda, will be taking the first solo movie. That’s not all though, both young Han Solo and Boba Fett are set to receive solo films as well. There is no word on when Disney plans to start releasing these movies or what kind of movies they will be; I could see them being computer animated movies done by Disney or Pixar.

After much speculation, Entertainment Weekly may have officially confirmed and spoiled the identity of Benedict Cumberbatch’s character in Star Trek: Into Darkness. In an article they posted the title: “Voyage Into the New Star Trek Kirk & Khan.” The title was changed to exclude the final names, but it hit the internet that way and there are plenty of screen shots to prove it. It looks like all the Khan rumors were true and Cumberbatch will be reprising the role of the iconic villain.

Between directing Star Wars and Star Trek, J.J. Abrams life has to be getting pretty busy. He is now looking at taking on another dynamic project. J.J. Abrams and Valve games studios are in talks to see if they can do Portal and Half-Life movies. Half-Life and its spin-off Portal are both award winning games made by Valve. The games are story driven, so there is movie potential for both titles. But does J.J. Abrams really have the time to take on yet another project?

The Avengers cast assembled at the Oscars to present the awards for Cinematography and Visual Effects. Avengers only received one Oscar nomination in the Visual Effects category, which they then had to present to Life of Pi. Still the Avengers legacy lives on as Marvel moves into ‘Phase 2’ and S.H.I.E.L.D. series begins filming. Marvel’s Agent M gave us our first sneak peak of the S.H.I.E.L.D. set, although it’s mostly a tease.

As Marvel’s ‘Phase 2’ moves forward, a lot of focus has been on their new project, Guardians of the Galaxy. Two new actors have signed on to play main parts in the galactic team. Chris Pratt is set to play the movies lead, Peter Quill or Star-Lord. Marvel has also found their actor for Drax the Destroyer in Game of Thrones star Jason Mamoa. Guardians of the Galaxy is set to hit theaters August 1, 2014.

One of the newest Iron Man 3 posters shows Sir Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin with his ten rings of power. Some leaked concept art has revealed more suit designs for Iron Man and also gives possible spoilers for later movies. The first suit is Tony’s new ‘Space Armor’ designed specifically for going back into space. The second concept art was for the ‘Hulkbuster Armor’ a set of Armor specifically designed to fight Hulk. Could the Avengers sequel have Hulk as a villain or at least an Iron Man and Hulk showdown? Speculation aside, in a recent interview Iron Man 3 writer Shane Black gave some spoilers about the after credits scene. Apparently, at the end of the movie, Tony will receive an SOS from Star-Lord creating the first tie in for the Guardians of the Galaxy. He will then head off into space, saying this time he is ready with his Space Armor.

Batman has had a rough year in the DC New 52 comic universe. First, he fought his way through the Night of the Owls just to have to deal with Joker’s return in Death of the Family. Though no one in the family actually died as the Death of the Family story arc drew to an end, the Joker successfully pulled at the strings of distrust and tore the Bat-family apart. However, just because no one died during the Death of the Family event, that doesn’t mean the Bat-family is safe. Last week, in Batman Incorporated #8, Damian Wayne, the current Robin, was murdered. His death is reminiscent of the death of Jason Todd, except most comic fans bet that Damian Wayne will take after his mother’s side and end up resurrected in the Lazarus Pit within the year.

On the horror side of things, the Evil Dead remake is set to arrive in theaters on April 12 this year. A new all red poster for the film was released, that promises it will be the ‘most terrifying movie you will every experience’. A new Red Band trailer was released for the film as well that teases a horrifying return to the cult classic, demon rape trees included.

The Zombieland television series is picking up some steam, and some cast members while they’re at it. The kids in the movie have been cast. Tyler Ross will play the part of Columbus and Izabela Vidovic has been cast as Little Rock. That’s not all, Maiara Walsh will be playing the role of Wichita. The series is currently being produced for Amazon as an original series.

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes are back at it with their new Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. The movie was directed by Steve Stark, who Smith and Mewes met online. The entire project cost just $69,000. They are planning on taking the movie on tour the same way Smith toured Red State. The Super Groovy Cartoon Movie is coming this April.

Finally, there are a lot of ‘How It Should Have Ended” videos out there, but the nerd Generalissimo Stan Lee has declared how a few nerd favorites should have really concluded. Not only is this one of the best Stan’s Rants yet, but you would be hard pressed to find a nerd that disagrees with him.

[Brewin in Giverny]

This week’s SuicideGirl gamer of the week is Brewin. She is a beautiful brunette that likes racers, puzzle games, and talking trash online.

Is there a story behind your SG name?

I came up with Brewin as a play on the Boston Bruins. I love hockey. It’s one of the only sports I enjoy watching. I’ve also lived in Boston for the last few years of my life so I feel as if it fits perfectly.

Tell me about your tattoos. How many do you have and where are they?

I currently have 10 tattoos, but some are on the large side. My left arm is dedicated to Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights. Under my left boob it says, “East Coast” which I got right after I shot my first set as a hopeful for SuicideGirls. On my right side I have a clipper ship, which was my first tattoo. On my hips I have cat prints and in between them there’s a rose. On my right hand ring finger I have “S&M” with a diamond. My best friend has the same one on her finger. My left thigh currently has a purple wolf head getting stabbed by a butter knife bleeding butter with the saying “Feel the Wrath of My Butter Knife” going around it. It’s been an ongoing joke with my bother who has the same quote on his arm. Lastly I have a pig and chicken on my feet. I grew up on a boat so drowning has always been my biggest fear.

How did you first become a SuicideGirl?

Becoming a SuicideGirl was somewhat of a process for me. I knew from when I was 12 and I found SG that I wanted to be one of the girls. It took me a while to have enough courage to officially apply. I would try to win their Facebook contests hoping to get flown out to LA to shoot, etc. Rambo Suicide found me through that and encouraged me to try actually shooting a set. One of my really great friends who I hadn’t talked to in years was a photographer and I hit him up. We shot my first set in a warehouse that I used to hang out in years earlier ironically. That set wasn’t bought, but because of that Sean found me and told me to come out to LA and shoot with him. So I did! And it has been the best journey ever since.

So you’re also a gamer. What is your favorite genre of video game?

I use to really be into first person shooters but I realized I get too stressed out and I’m really bad at them. I think I was only into trash talking grown men on Xbox LIVE. However, any racing game and I’m in it to win it. I also love puzzle games or anything that can be tied into problem solving.

Which series is better, Forza or Need for Speed?

Out of those two I’d go with Need for Speed. The racing game I can still play forever is Burnout. I like crashing cars more than actually racing them, even though I will kick ass in both!

You never seem to hear as much about puzzle games as some of the other genres. What are some of the best ones out there?

My favorite puzzle game is the Professor Layton series. They’re challenging yet simple. Their storylines are cute and the actual puzzles make you think. I spend 90% of the time playing the actual game and the other 10% looking up the answers I can’t figure out online.

What is your console of choice?

I love my Xbox 360, but at the moment mine is across the country so I’ve only been playing my DSi. Oh the sweet moment I reunite with my Xbox will be the best of days.

If you could pick one game as your all-time favorite, just one, what would it be and why?

Crash Bandicoot, hands down! It was the first game I ever had and I still love it. I’m 22 now and I still haven’t been able to get past the second island. I’ve even bought multiple copies of the game so that when one would freeze on certain levels, I could switch the disks out. It’s honestly just so much fun and still is the hardest game I own – to me, at least.

Do you believe in the separation of “hardcore” and “casual” gamers?

I believe that! I would classify myself as a “casual” gamer. I play for fun every now and then. I appreciate all the new games that have come out, but I always stick to my favorites. I totally respect the “hardcore” gamers though; the people who stand in line for midnight releases and go home to play a game until they beat it. Hot damn.

Would you ever date someone who played video games professionally?

Of course! That sounds like an awesome job!

Tell me something about yourself related to video games that nobody else knows.

I have NEVER beat a single game. I just can’t. I have a bunch of games and each one I don’t know how the story ends. I usually stop playing one game once I get another.

[Squeak in I Am]

Squeak is this week’s SuicideGirl gamer of the week. She is a sweet, shy girl who not only really loves comic books, but also is into video games. I spoke with her about which games she likes most and she also shared what she believes is the meaning behind the name “SuicideGirls.”

What is the story behind your SuicideGirls nickname, “Squeak”?

Anyone who has ever met me in person can tell you that, haha. I have a high voice…which only gets higher and squeakier as I get more nervous or shy. (And being an introvert with social anxiety, it happens quite a lot!) I got the nickname back in High School and I guess it just stuck. I sort of embraced it eventually and made it my SG name.

How did you first get into modeling?

I started modeling when I was about 14 years old. At the time, there were no internet agencies. You had to be with an agency or have some kind of actual representation. I worked for a local modeling agency for a couple years before branching out on my own. Going independent gives you more freedom, but the money is no where as good as when I had an agency.

You have a lot of sets with different hair colors. Blue, pink, red, blonde…which is your favorite look?

Hmmmm…well I guess I like them all in their own way. I tire of hair color pretty quickly and I am always excited to try something different. Although I love doing bright colors, it is not always fun (or convenient!) to stand out. The advantage to going blonde is that I can sort of blend in a bit easier…so I always seem to eventually return to my natural blonde color. At least for a bit.

What are some of your all-time favorite games?

Well, nostalgia often plays a big part in what I pick as far as my “favorites” go. The first series I ever played were the Kings Quest games on my grandmother’s Tandy computer. So I was sort of raised on RPGs. When Baldur’s Gate came out in the late 90’s, I really experienced my first great love. I probably played that game for two years straight; over and over again, I still compare every single RPG I play to Baldur’s Gate.

I also love Silent Hill 2. I’ll never forget the day I finished it and watched the ending where you find out what sort of man James really is. It blew my mind. The overall atmosphere and game play was incredibly surreal and enjoyable. Not to mention Pyramid Head! What an awesome bad guy.

Lastly, I’d have to go with Halo. I know it is sort of a cliché nowadays, particularly amongst Xbox users, but you have got to give credit where credit is due. The first Halo game had an amazing storyline and the Halo series has had such a huge impact on the younger generation of gamers. Every time I see some kids bouncing around and shooting on Call of Duty or Left 4 Dead, I immediately know they were raised on Halo. They play every FPS like they are Master Chief and in low gravity. It cracks me up.

Which system do you prefer?

I am definitely an Xbox fan. I have most of the other systems as well; Wii, Playstation, etc…but I always go back to Xbox. I think it has to do with the size of the controller; I like a big controller. What can I say? I’m a “Size Queen!” Haha!

What are you currently playing?

I’ve been going back and forth between Halo 4 and Red Dead Redemption. I have a stack of RPGs piled up next to my computer that I hope to get around to when I have more time.

How’s Halo 4 stack up to previous games in the series in your opinion?

The storyline is great! Much more akin to the first Halo as far as that sort of thing goes. I enjoyed Halo 2 and 3 but the storylines and boards didn’t grip me enough to play them over and over again. I ended up finishing them and just putting them away. But I think I will most likely play through Halo 4 a few times before moving on.

It is also visually stunning. I am usually not too picky about graphics in games other than RPGs, but Halo 4 is definitely going to be setting the bar higher in the FPS realm.

Do you prefer playing games online or offline?

Offline. I take things way too personally. When I lose against a computer, I get a bit frustrated, walk away for a while, and then come back and try again. When I lose against a person, I am angry for days and fantasize about going to their house and kicking them hard in the shins before running off into the night. I just wasn’t designed to play well with others.

Are you into motion gaming at all?

A little bit. I was really into Wii when it first came out and then later got the Kinect. By then I started to lose interest. I work as a fitness instructor and aerialist, so by the time I get home at the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is jump around in front of my console. Sitting is so much better.
