Following their triumphant June 14 Hollywood Bowl gig, Mötley Crüe have been confirmed as the headliners for the fourth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival. The three-day event will kick off on Thursday Aug 18 with a Mötley Crüe tribute concert at the House of Blues, which promises a star-studded lineup and one of a kind performances. The band will also be on hand to accept the Elmer Valentine Award for their contributions to The Sunset Strip’s history.

The Roxy, Key Club, Whisky A Go-Go, and Viper Room will play host to a variety of SSMF affiliated gigs. The festivities will culminate in a monster outdoor street party on Saturday Aug 20. Sunset Blvd will be closed to traffic from Doheny to San Vicente to accommodate an outdoor stage, food trucks, beer gardens, a VIP lounge, and interactive experiences. Friends of SG Escape The Fate, She Wants Revenge, and Gavin Rossdale (who’ll be performing with his band Bush) are also scheduled to perform on the outdoor stage, alongside Public Enemy, Matt & Kim, The Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, Black Veil Brides, and Cobra Starship.

Mötley Crüe are currently on tour with Poison and the New York Dolls. Their set list was selected by fans via an online poll.
