It’s a known fact that outside of some Ewok problems in Return of the Jedi, the original Star Wars series was always thought of by nerds, geeks and fans alike as the perfect movie trilogy.

A great set up and beginning with Star Wars IV: A New Hope to the ultimate downer ending with The Empire Strikes Back, all the way to Darth Vader’s redemption in Return of the Jedi.

Well, creator George Lucas apparently can’t learn to just leave well alone. As if he hadn’t altered the Star Wars universe enough with past revisions when the trilogy was re-released in theaters a few years back, not to mention the prequel trilogy, he’s gone and messed with perfection once again.

With the Star Wars films set to be released on Blu-Ray on Sept 16, Lucas has made what seems like a minor change that pretty much every fan boy and girl will react with harsh criticism, no doubt along similar lines to this article.

In the final scenes – where Emperor Palpatine is electrocuting Luke Skywalker, and his father turned evil minion Darth Vader finally steps back into daddy mode, lifting his boss over his head and tossing him down a giant well –– will now include one extra part.

Like Wyatt Earp in the film Tombstone, Vader will now bellow out the word ‘Noooo!’ just as he lifts the Emperor in the air and tosses him to his final grave. The addition echoes the final scenes in Revenge of the Sith where Vader first takes form and screams a smililar ‘Noooo!’ when he finds out his lovely Padme is no more.

It’s one thing to add to Vader’s humanity, but when it’s as cheesy as the scene looks and sounds now, the world’s ultimate badass loses just a bit of his luster.

Check out the scene and see if you say “Yes, George Lucas should have absolutely added this in, it’s vital.” Or if you just wanted to scream ‘Noooo!‘

Collins is best known as one of the co-founders of the seminal 1970’s funk group Parliament Funkadelic, but I really got into his work in the early ’90’s when he teamed up with Bill Laswell and Buckethead. After months of rumors and unfounded speculations, there is finally some solid evidence of the presence of the Skrulls in the upcoming Avengers movie. A recent change to the Avengers IMDb page has confirmed that Cobie Smulders (Robin from How I Met Your Mother) is not only playing Maria Hill, Nick Fury’s second in command, but she is also cast as Anelle, the Skrull Princess. How large of a part the Skrulls play is still unknown, but I’m betting they’re Loki’s mysterious army.

While the Avengers are prepping for an apparent intergalactic invasion, the writers of Captain America 2 are discussing what’s going to happen next. Screenwriters Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely recently revealed details about plans for the sequel. There is a high possibility that the second movie will revisit Cap’s past, during an intentional six-month break that was left in the first movie. They are torn at the moment though because they feel it would be a shame not to visit present day Captain America.

On screen superheroes are hotter than ever, and the CW is looking to cash in further. After ten successful seasons of Smallville (six of which were good) the CW canceled the show, which left a large gap in their schedule. Rumors of everything from Nightwing to Raven have floated around, but nothing has come to fruition. Most recently, we hear Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is looking to fill that slot with a Deadman series. Deadman is a lesser known ghost superhero with several powers, including possession of others. Kind of a cool in concept, but I doubt it has the fan base to get past a pilot.

Erin Morgenstern’s first book, The Night Circus, will be released on September 13th. She already has a movie deal in the works. Summit Entertainment bought the film rights to develop a motion picture based on the upcoming publication.

The Night Circus is set in a fantastical circus that magically appears at night. Two magicians battle as they’ve been trained to since childhood, but as they compete they fall in love. Now can’t you imagine some Hollywood megastars brooding it up as those emotionally tormented sorcerers, in lavish circus costumes too?

Morgenstern herself exhibits a unique style fitting for a chronicler of the performing arts. She likes corsets, and the red stripes of the one she wore in San Diego was the only color in her all black ensemble. If you look up her website, you’ll see influences from Stephen King to J.K. Rowling. You’ll also find out she has also painted her own deck of Tarot cards. We sat down with the emerging literary star and soon to be movie star in San Diego.

There have been many video games based on Games Workshop’s venerable Warhammer universe, but thus far none save Canadian developer Relic Entertainment and their Dawn of War PC strategy franchise seem able to do it right. Now, with the forthcoming multiplatform third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Relic are trying to make lightning strike twice with a completely different platform and style of game.

Space Marine looks like a mix of Darksiders and Gears of War, with the player taking on the role of one of the titular walking tanks so heavily armored that he doesn’t need any wimpy cover system.

SuicideGirls spoke with Space Marine’s producer Andy Lang about the Warhammer 40,000 [AKA “40K”] universe, Nobs, and what life is like during crunch time for a game developer.

One more of the Serenity crew returns to television. We’ve got Nathan Fillion on Castle, Adam Baldwin on Chuck, Morena Baccarin on V and Homeland, Gina Torres on Suits, and Alan Tudyk as a series regular on ABC’s new comedy Suburgatory. He’ll play Noah Lerner, an old friend of George (Jeremy Sisto) who moves his daughter to the suburbs to take her away from bad influences. Hilarity ensues.

But there is much more to Alan Tudyk than one new show. He has a movie coming out this fall. Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil hits VOD on August 26 and theaters September 30, after years of playing the festival circuit. Tudyk plays Tucker, one of two innocent woodsmen mistaken for a chainsaw killer. He’ll also be seen in the upcoming movie adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and has voiced several characters in MTV’s animated show Good Vibes.
